3 Awesome Fall Getaways That Pair Well with CBD

Try elevating your autumn getaway with CBD. Read on for our top three fall adventures that pair well with this naturally occurring chemical.
Fall Getaways That Pair Well with CBD

Fall has arrived, but the end of summer doesn’t have to spell the end of fun trips with family and friends. From fall foliage to pumpkin festivals and corn mazes, there are lots of ways to enjoy autumn destinations.

For extra fun and relaxation, try pairing your autumn getaway with cannabidiol (CBD). CBD, a naturally occurring chemical found in cannabis, is easy to find these days, and it can be consumed in a variety of ways—tinctures, vape pens, edibles, you name it. You may choose different methods of consumption depending on your destination and the company with whom you’re traveling.

CBD is a helpful tool in easing mental and physical stresses, including the following:

  • Reducing inflammation after a workout or hike
  • Relaxing your body and elevating your mood
  • Increasing your mental focus by decreasing stress and anxiety

Since the 2018 Farm Bill passed, CBD is sold throughout the United States. This past year the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced that you can even fly with certain CBD products. So, consider these three fall destinations for a CBD-friendly getaway before winter sets in.

1. Try Leaf Peeping and Apple Picking in New England

A road trip through New England is the perfect way to enjoy the vibrant red, orange and yellow hues of the fall foliage. There are many “leaf-peeping” destinations throughout New England, like Stowe, Vermont, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. One of the most expansive is the Mohawk Trail in northern Massachusetts, which follows a former Native American trading route. The 63-mile trail will have you passing beautiful streams and enjoying gorgeous vistas. Start the day with a low-dose CBD gummy and soak in all the natural beauty while keeping your muscles relaxed for a full day of exploration.

The trail ends at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MassMoCa). After spending the day outdoors, hit your CBD vape pen before visiting the MassMoCA and getting lost in the psychedelic art by the likes of James Turrell, Laurie Anderson, Sol LeWitt and Jenny Holzer.

To finish off the weekend, visit Honeypot Orchards in Massachusetts for apple-picking, hayrides, hedge mazes, hot cider and caramel apples. Add some CBD tincture to your apple cider, or light up a joint of high-in-CBD strain Harlequin to end the day on a high note.

2. Celebrate Oktoberfest at Old Bavaria in Leavenworth, Washington

Germany has its fair share of strong cultural traditions, and none are more distinct than what you’ll find in Bavaria, the home of Oktoberfest. Have you always wanted a slice of Bavaria but can’t make the transatlantic trip? Then head right to Leavenworth, WA. Nestled in the southeast corner of the North Cascades National Park, this hamlet is famous as a little Bavarian town. Leavenworth boasts buildings with architecture and decorations inspired by Old World Bavarian architecture. Sip an Oktoberfest beer with a bratwurst, dance to live “oompah” music and enjoy the views. The occasional inhalation from a CBD vape pen will help you digest all those German treats and keep you relaxed for more dancing!

3. Get Witchy in Salem, Massachusetts

If you enjoy celebrating Halloween, then Salem, MA, is a must-see. The actual location of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, Salem is now a hub for Halloween witchery, with a calendar of haunted happenings to choose from in the month of October. Take a candlelit ghostly walking tour of the town, visit a tarot reader or psychic or go to a broom-making workshop. To enhance the spooky atmosphere, try smoking a joint of a cannabis strain high in CBD, or make your own witch’s brew by adding CBD tincture to a mulled wine or cider.
