FAQ's for Missouri medical marijuana card

Yes. Get an online Telehealth consultation withย HelloMDย in Missouri and get approved by a licensed practitioner to purchase medical marijuana in a legal cannabis dispensary. Once approved, youโ€™ll register with the stateโ€™sย Compila application portal.

When you receive an approval for medical marijuana from your HelloMD practitioner, youโ€™ll need to register your HelloMD certification atย mo-public.mycomplia.com and apply to the MIssouri's State Medical Marijuana Program. Once registered, youโ€™ll receive your medical marijuana card within 30 days. The state processes cards in the order they are received. To be approved for a Missouri medical marijuana card, youโ€™ll need to have one of the qualifying health conditions. To date, the qualifying conditions are:

  • Debilitating psychiatric disorders, including, but not limited to, post-traumatic stress order, if diagnosed by a state licensed psychiatrist
  • Human immunodeficiency virus or acquired immune deficiency syndrome
  • A chronic medical condition that is normally treated with a prescription medications that could lead to physical or psychological dependence, when a physician determines that medical use of marijuana could be effective in treating that condition and would serve as a safer alternative to the prescription medication
  • A terminal illness
  • In the professional judgment of a physician, any other chronic, debilitating or other medical condition, including, but not limited to, hepatitis C
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohnโ€™s disease, Huntingtonโ€™s disease, autism, neuropathies, sickle cell anemia, agitation of Alzheimerโ€™s disease, cachexia, and wasting syndrome.

No. There is no reciprocity between Missouriโ€™s Medical Marijuana Program and other state medical marijuana programs. Just because you are licensed in another state doesnโ€™t automatically qualify you for a license in Missouri.

Patient and caregiver medical marijuana licenses are valid for one year. After this they must be renewed. HelloMD can help you with your renewal.
